Pre-Kindergarten (4 years)

The Pre-K program builds on Preschool learning. We focus on problem solving, responsive listening, language usage, and social skills.

Pre-K learning experiences continue to be driven by the needs of the children, through the Learning Care System™ digital curriculum. Also, Focus on Literacy features in-school and at-home activities designed to improve your child's literacy and cognition in areas such as vocabulary development and alphabet knowledge.

Plus, our K-Prep enhancement introduces your child to kindergarten concepts and experiences, with small-group instruction and extended seatwork.

K-Prep is for children starting kindergarten immediately after Pre-K in the fall.


4 - 5 years
Every kid is a SMART kid - that's the philosophy behind everything we do at Tutor Time. At this age, the Tutor Time® LifeSmart™ curriculum builds on your child's cognitive, social and emotional needs in preparation for the kindergarten classroom. Aligned with standards set forth by national accrediting associations, this curriculum cultivates all the ways children are smart. Want proof? A recent kindergarten preparedness study showed that children in our program made substantial gains in development and had the necessary skills to enter and excel in kindergarten.
Lessons are designed to ensure that children grasp concepts in ways that are most meaningful to them. Classrooms include learning centers designed around these "smarts" to encourage independent discovery. So in addition to the 3 Rs, your child will learn to love learning.

Meet Our Staff

Ms Tina

My name is Ms Tina and I have worked at Tutor Time for almost 11 years. I have had the opportunity of interacting with all age groups. I began as an assistant and then became a Preschool head teacher. During a typical day in my classroom, the children participate in many different types of large and small group activities that are executed to enhance each of their "smarts". The children work on reciting and recognizing the alphabet, shapes, colors, numbers, weather and calendar. We also conduct hands-on experiments and learn basic Spanish and sign language skills. In addition, the children practice tracing and cutting to help develop their fine motor skills for future writing. Lastly, they develop social skills by taking turns, sharing and playing with friends. As an educator, it’s very important to install a love of learning at an early age. I always tell the children, "It’s ok to make mistakes. Mistakes are our teachers..they help us learn". Therefore, every day is a learning experience and we should always try our best in whatever comes our way
